Clevedon II 55-0 Yatton III

Match Report by Lars Hullah
A cold wet afternoon saw Yatton concede three tries within the first quarter of an hour. Try as they might, Yatton were up against a strong, well-drilled side; and despite the away teams efforts, the scoreboard rose in Clevedon's favor... By halftime, it was 50 points to nil.
The minimal crowd presumed that there was more to come, yet the Yatton players were definitely not going to lie down and give in.
So the second half commenced with Clevedon again attacking hard, however, Yatton defended with almost suicidal defiance. Cam Smart
showed the way and others followed his heroics. This, in turn, saw a change in fortunes, with Yatton now holding their own in the scrums; which went on to a cracking period of play where they were camped on the Clevedon line for a good five minutes. Captain Dave Hepworth
and man of the match Alex Parker
were unlucky not to have crossed over at this stage.
A mere 5 points were conceded in the second half highlighting an all-round gritty performance from Yatton.
